First Aid / CPR / AED (English & Spanish)
First Aid, CPR, and AED safety training provides individuals with the skills needed to identify and respond to a variety of emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, difficulty breathing, choking and several other injuries. These training courses instruct individuals how to give immediate care until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrive.
Elements of First Aid, CPR, and AED training:
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation):
Chest compression and rescue breath training to assist in keeping the blood circulating throughout the body, particularly the brain.
AED (Automated External Defibrillator):
Safety training on the proper use of an AED unit to deliver an electrical shock to help restore a normal heart rhythm.
First Aid:
Safety training in assessing and treating a variety of injuries and illnesses, such as back, burns, cuts, scrapes, head, and neck.
Recognizing Emergencies:
Safety training in identifying medical emergencies, breathing difficulties, and chest pain.
Hands-on Practice:
Safety training in simulated emergency scenarios for participants to practice CPR and AED skills on mannequins.
Specific Training:
Training courses include techniques for adults, children, and infants.
